Cannon Gasket die-cuts and machines custom polypropylene washers for chemical processing, laboratory equipment, food and beverage handling, and economical industrial sealing.

Properties of Polypropylene plastic washers

Cannon Gasket cuts Polypropylene plastic washers to your drawing in durometer and thickness specifications of 0.010" to 0.500" thickness. Outstanding resistance to acids, bases, and most solvents; low moisture absorption. Not recommended for strong oxidizers, chlorinated solvents, or aromatic hydrocarbons.

Polypropylene tolerances and customization

Standard dimensional tolerances on Polypropylene plastic washersland around ±0.010" to ±0.015" on OD and ID, depending on material durometer and thickness. Tighter tolerances are available on select grades. Cannon Gasket cuts Polypropylene to custom profiles in-house and matches lead times to your production volume. PSA backing, pad printing, custom packaging, and kitting are all on the menu when you need them.

How Polypropylene Performs

- Excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, and most solvents. - Low density — among the lightest thermoplastics. - FDA-compliant grades available. - Good fatigue resistance for living-hinge applications.

When to Choose Another Material

For higher impact, polycarbonate. For aggressive solvents above PP's range, PTFE. For higher temperature, PEEK or Ultem.
