Properties of PVC plastic washers

Cannon Gasket cuts PVC plastic washers to your drawing in durometer and thickness specifications of 0.010" to 0.500" thickness. Good resistance to acids, alkalis, salts, alcohols, and aliphatic hydrocarbons. Not recommended for aromatic or chlorinated solvents, ketones, or esters.

PVC tolerances and customization

Standard dimensional tolerances on PVC plastic washersland around ±0.010" to ±0.015" on OD and ID, depending on material durometer and thickness. Tighter tolerances are available on select grades. Cannon Gasket cuts PVC to custom profiles in-house and matches lead times to your production volume. PSA backing, pad printing, custom packaging, and kitting are all on the menu when you need them.

How PVC Performs

- Excellent chemical resistance to acids, alkalis, and most solvents. - Good electrical insulator. - Rigid PVC for structural; flexible (vinyl) PVC for sealing and conforming. - FDA grades available.

Common Washer Applications

Chemical pump and valve isolators, plumbing fitting sealing, industrial vinyl sealing washers, weatherstrip washers, electrical insulator washers, and economical chemical-resistant industrial use.

When to Choose Another Material

For higher temperature, CPVC or polypropylene. For aggressive solvents, PTFE.
