Custom gasket manufacturing is what we do, and what we’ve done since 1971. Cannon Gasket designs and produces precision non-metallic stampings for OEM programs across aerospace, medical, automotive, electronics, industrial, and consumer markets. Every part is fabricated against your drawing, in your material, to your tolerances.

We supply gaskets, rubber and plastic washers, O-rings, diaphragms, lathe-cut seals, and EMI/RFI shielding components. Tooling, inspection, traceability, and packaging all happen at our ISO 9001 certified plant in Fontana, California. No outsourcing. No surprises.

Drawing or Sample Review
Send a CAD file, dimensioned drawing, or even a sample part. Our engineers review fit, tolerance, and material against your application, and flag anything we'd suggest changing before tooling.
Step 02
Material Selection
From rubber elastomers (EPDM, Buna-N, Viton, silicone, neoprene) to plastics (PTFE, UHMW, Nylon), foams, fiber composites, and PSA-backed laminates: we recommend the right substrate for chemical, temperature, and mechanical exposure.
Step 03
Tooling Built In-House
Steel-rule dies, compound dies, rotary dies, and lathe fixtures are designed and built in our Fontana tool room. No external hand-offs, no third-party lead-time variability.
Step 04
Prototype & First Article
Run sample parts off your tool for fit-check and first-article inspection. Lock the design before scaling.
Step 05
Production at Volume
Flatbed die cutting, rotary die cutting, lathe cutting, machining, and slitting, chosen per part for the right cost-per-piece. JIT, VMI, and Kanban release programs available.
Step 06
Inspection, Documentation & Ship
Documented in-process and final inspection, calibrated measurement, lot traceability, certificates of conformance, and PPAP / FAI on request. ISO 9001 certified throughout.

Yes, ISO 9001:2015 certified. Documented quality management covers incoming material verification, in-process inspection, calibrated measurement, final inspection, non-conformance handling, corrective action, and full lot traceability. AS9100-ready for aerospace, with MIL-spec and FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 / USP Class VI grades available on request.
Can you handle FDA, medical, or aerospace applications?

What manufacturing processes do you run in-house?
Flatbed die cutting, rotary die cutting, lathe cutting, machining, slitting, sheeting, pad printing, and custom packaging. Tooling is built in-house at our Fontana plant so prototype-to-production lead times stay tight.
What materials do you stock?
Every major gasket elastomer (EPDM, Silicone, Viton, Buna-N/Nitrile, Neoprene, SBR, Polyurethane, Fluorosilicone), plastic washer compounds (PTFE, UHMW, Nylon, Delrin, Kapton, Mylar, Lexan, G-10, PVC), compressed fiber (Garlock, Klingersil, Interface, Non-Asbestos), graphite, cork, felt, and conductive EMI/RFI stock.
What thickness range can you cut?
From 0.001 inch thin films through half-inch foam and rubber on flatbed presses. Rotary die cutting handles 0.001 to 0.250 inch roll stock for high-volume PSA-backed parts. Compressed fiber and composite gasketing usually ships 0.015 to 0.250 inch.
How fast do you return a quote?
Most RFQs come back within one business day. Simple profile updates to an existing tool quote same-day. Send a drawing, DXF, or competing part number and our engineering team reviews material, tolerance, and volume before pricing.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Minimums depend on the part and material. We cut prototype and first-article quantities for engineering evaluation, then scale up to production volumes from the same tooling. For high-volume programs we run JIT, VMI, and Kanban replenishment out of Fontana, California.
What should I send with an RFQ?
Ideal: a drawing or DXF, material spec (or compound family), estimated annual volume, and any regulatory callouts (FDA, USP Class VI, AS9100, MIL-spec). If you only have a sample or a part number from a competing supplier, send that and we will reverse-engineer the spec before quoting.
What are typical lead times?
Prototype and first-article parts usually ship in 5-10 business days. Production runs from existing tooling are 2-3 weeks depending on volume and material lead time. Rush and expedite options available on a case-by-case basis.
