Marine Gaskets, Washers, and Seals
Cannon Gasket is ISO 9001 certified with PSA backing for field installation and custom weather-strip profile capability. Fabricating sealing components since 1971. Send profiles, service environment, and volume for material selection, tooling cost if needed, quoted pricing, and lead time.
- Serving boat builders, marine engine manufacturers, and marine electronics OEMs where salt water, UV, and vibration shorten elastomer life.
- Used for hatch and deck seals, weather strips, engine gaskets, vibration dampening mounts, enclosure gaskets, and fuel-system components.
- Fabricated from UV- and ozone-rated EPDM, Neoprene, silicone, polyurethane, cork-rubber, and closed-cell foam stock.

Sealing components for marine
Marine equipment runs in one of the most aggressive operating environments, with saltwater, UV, ozone, vibration, and constant moisture all working against elastomer life. Cannon Gasket supplies custom marine seals and gaskets in compounds chosen for sustained saltwater and outdoor exposure, die-cut and lathe-cut to customer drawings and supplied to boat builders, marine engine manufacturers, and marine electronics OEMs.
Where marine sealing shows up
- Hatch and deck seals (EPDM)
- Weather strips for windows and doors
- Marine engine gaskets (Nitrile, silicone)
- Vibration dampening mounts (Neoprene, polyurethane)
- Marine electronics enclosure gaskets
- Fuel system components
Marine Sealing Applications and Suited Materials
Deck hardware relies on EPDM and neoprene gaskets and washers under cleats, hatches, and through-deck fittings, while window and hatch weatherstrip uses EPDM sponge and silicone sponge to survive UV-exposed service. Propulsion and drive components call for different compounds depending on the fluid: Viton and fluorosilicone handle fuel-system seals, and Nitrile suits hydraulic service. Bilge and pump sealing uses neoprene and EPDM for water and oil-mix service, and electrical enclosures are sealed with silicone and neoprene for marine-grade IP-rated housings. Matching the compound to the fluid, temperature, and exposure on each part keeps seals serviceable in continuous saltwater and sunlight.
Materials We Supply for Marine
Cannon supplies EPDM and neoprene, the long-standing marine standard, alongside Viton, fluorosilicone, silicone, Nitrile, polyurethane, and UHMW. For fastener isolation we supply polymer composites. These compounds are selected for the loads each part sees, from UV- and ozone-rated elastomers for exposed weatherstrip to fuel-resistant fluoroelastomers for propulsion seals, so material choice follows the service environment rather than a single default stock.
Production and Quality Considerations
Cannon is ISO 9001 certified and recommends UV-stabilized formulations for parts under sustained sunlight and saltwater-corrosion-aware material recommendations. PSA backing is available for field installation, and custom weather-strip profiles are available. Parts can be custom kitted into service kits for marine repair programs, which keeps the correct seals together for field replacement. Send profiles, service environment, and volume for material selection, tooling cost if needed, quoted pricing, and lead time.
