Cork-Rubber Gaskets
Cork-rubber is a composite of natural cork granules bonded by a rubber matrix (typically Buna-N or neoprene). The result is a gasket material that compresses and conforms like cork but holds together mechanically like rubber — useful in low-pressure sealing where the mating flanges may not be perfectly flat or parallel.

Properties of Cork / Rubber gaskets
Cannon Gasket cuts Cork / Rubber gaskets to your drawing in durometer and thickness specifications of 0.031" to 0.500" thickness. Good resistance to petroleum oils, fuels, and dilute chemicals. Not recommended for strong acids, aromatic solvents, or temperatures above 250°F.
Cork / Rubber tolerances and customization
Standard dimensional tolerances on Cork / Rubber gaskets land around ±0.010" to ±0.015" on OD and ID, depending on material durometer and thickness. Tighter tolerances are available on selected grades. Cannon Gasket cuts Cork / Rubber to custom profiles in-house and matches lead times to your production volume. PSA backing, pad printing, custom packaging, and kitting are all on the menu when you need them.
How Cork-Rubber Performs

Where Cork-Rubber Gaskets Are Specified
Oil pan gaskets, transmission and differential covers, transformer sealing, valve cover gaskets, low-pressure flange sealing, vibration-damping pads under equipment, and applications where conformability is more important than precision.
When to Choose Another Material
For high-pressure or high-vacuum service specify solid rubber or non-asbestos fiber. For aggressive chemicals specify Viton or PTFE.

Die-cut, flash cut and steel-rule-cut. PSA backing available for installation
